Norton Center to host the Moscow State Radio Symphony Orchestra and Chorus

DANVILLE, KY -- The Moscow State Radio Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will be coming to Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Under the direction of conductor Nikolai Alexeyev, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, , soloists of the Bolshoi Opera, and a 50-member chorus will present such classics as "The Anvil Chorus" from Verdi's Il Trovatore, "Habanera" and "Toreador Song" from Bizet's Carmen, the "Coronation Scene" from Mussorgsky's Boris Gudunov, "The Dance of the Hours" from Ponchielli's La Gioconda, plus many more wonderful selections.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in Newlin Hall. Tickets are on sale at the box office. Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. weekdays, or patrons may call toll-free at 1-877-HIT-SHOW (1-877 448-7469).
