DANVILLE, KY - Lea Wise Prewett, former head women's basketball coach at Centre College, recently was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremonies took place in Louisville in mid-September. Prewett was part of a stellar group that included race car driver Darrell Waltrip, jockey Steve Cauthen and former Washington Redskins offensive lineman Joe Jacoby. Boxing great Muhammad Ali was named Kentucky's Athlete of the Century.

Prewett, who had a brilliant playing career at the University of Kentucky, took the Centre women to three NCAA appearances (1987, 1988 and 1989) and led the women to the Final Four in 1989.
