DANVILLE, KY - Centre College foobtall players have earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Defensive back Eric Heyman captured the award Sept. 14 after returning a reception 99 yards for a touchdown in Centre's Sept. 11 win over Kenyon College. Linebacker Adam Browning got the honor Sept. 21 after keying Centre to a Sept. 18 win over Rhodes College. Browning made 18 tackles (11 solo), caused one fumble and recorded one sack.

Heyman is a sophomore from Louisville and Browning is a senior from Mt.Vernon.

The Centre football team is 2-0 with the recent wins.
