Centre College announces staff appointments
DANVILLE, KY- Centre College recently has appointed four new staff members. They are Angela D. Herron, assistant director of career services; Kristi A. Smith, assistant director of student life for housing; and two staff members in the office of information technology services, Seth Thompson, technician, and Stacie N. Yates, database technologist.
Herron recently completed a one-year post-master's internship as career resource center coordinator at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her duties included career counseling and advisement with students, as well as supervision of the career center computer lab. Herron has a bachelor's degree from Coker College and a master's degree from Frostburg State College.
Smith served as hall director in Keeneland Hall at the University of Kentucky while completing a master's degree there. She also served as senior admissions counselor at Midway College. Smith has a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University.
Thompson worked for three years as a student technician in Centre's information technology office while pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science. He graduated in May. He previously earned an associate's degree from the University of Rio Grande (Ohio).
Yates is a recent graduate of Campbellsville University, where she earned a bachelor's degree with majors in computer information systems and mathematics. She completed an internship with R.R. Donnelley & Sons and was a computer lab assistant as part of her undergraduate studies.
