Centre College gallery hosts exhibit by painter
DANVILLE, KY -- The Jones Visual Arts Center at Centre College currently is hosting an exhibit of paintings by Alexander Stelioes-Wills, who taught at the college last year as a visiting professor in the art program. Twelve paintings and one drawing by Stelioes-Wills are on display in the Aegon Gallery and will remain there through April 2.
The exhibit is open to the public at no charge. Viewing times are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. The visual arts center is located on Beatty Ave. in Danville.
Stelioes has previously exhibited at the Elizabeth B. McGraw Arts Center
Gallery in Livingston, N.J., as well as the Indianapolis Art Center, the
Texas Fine Arts Association at the Austin Museum of Art and the Lichtenstein
Center for the Arts. He holds a bachelor's degree from Washington University
and a master's degree in fine arts from Indiana University.
