Centre to host sizzling Tap Dogs
DANVILLE, KY -- Tap Dogs, a sizzling, high-energy dance troupe based in Australia, will come to the Norton Center for the Arts Tuesday, Dec. 7, for an 8 p.m. performance. Norton Center patrons will find the contemporary, athletic dancing style reminiscent of Stomp, which sold-out three performances last year.
Dubbed by the British press as "testosterone tap," Tap Dogs features six guys dancing and dominating the stage. They perform in jeans and T-shirts -- and boxer shorts when their on stage spinning and slamming gets them hot.
Dein Perry, co-founder of the troupe, won an Olivier Award in London for outstanding choreography in his 1995 show, Hot Shoe Shuffle, and he launched Tap Dogs that same year.
A limited number of tickets remain available. Visit or call the Norton Center box office at 606-236-4692 or toll-free 1-877-HIT-SHOW.
