DANVILLE, KY- Boneal Inc., of Means, Ky., has established a scholarship that will assist Menifee County students who choose to attend Centre College. The Boneal Scholarship, a four-year, $10,000 scholarship, will be awarded for the first time this fall. A deserving student graduating from the Menifee County schools will receive the scholarship and may use it to attend Centre or one of three other private colleges in the state: Transylvania, Cumberland or Georgetown. Boneal President Keith Gannon commented: "Boneal Inc. firmly believes in community support, and this initiative will demonstrate for future generations our commitment as a corporate citizen of both Menifee County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky." Founded by Bill and Bonnie Neal, Boneal is located in Means in rural Eastern Kentucky. The company describes itself as a high-tech manufacturing firm that endorses the initiatives of Kentucky's Higher Education Reform Act.
