International magazine features article on Centre debate

DANVILLE, KY - The current issue of CASE Currents, an international magazine, includes an article about the Oct. 5 vice presidential debate at Centre College. The piece was co-authored by Mike Norris, director of communications at Centre, and Richard Trollinger, vice president for college relations.

Currents is published by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and is targeted toward persons who work in higher education in the fields of public relations, development, admissions and public affairs.

In the Centre article, which is entitled "The Great Debate: How a small college made the most of a big opportunity," Norris and Trollinger describe how the college utilized the debate as an opportunity for education, outreach and publicity. The article describes community events surrounding the debate, the VeepWorld Web site created for high school teachers and special services provided to visiting reporters.
