DANVILLE, KY-Danville resident Kay Drake has been promoted to director of human resources at Centre College. She joined the college in 1997 in the administrative services department and has been instrumental in developing an employee handbook, employee training programs and an employee recognition program at the college. Last spring she receieved an employee service award for her achievements.

Prior to joining Centre, Drake was senior human resources administrator with the Coca Cola Bottling Co. of Ohio and Kentucky. She also had been personnel manager with Hartco Flooring Company and an instructor at Somerset Community College.

Drake holds an associate of arts degree from Somerset Community College and bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a native of Georgetown.
