Centre students complete internships in diplomacy, politics, art
DANVILLE, KY -- Eight Centre College students completed internships during the recent fall term in fields that ranged from art to diplomacy. Each of the interns completed an on-the-job project and earned academic credit at the college.
Chris Lewis, a junior Cincinnati, was chosen for an internship in Washington, D.C., with the Cyprus embassy. Tommy Druen, a senior from Edmonton, completed his internship in Frankfort with State Senator David Williams. Jennifer Howard, a senior from Mayfield, also was in Frankfort as an intern with the Kentucky Republican Party.
Joey Bickley, a senior from Florence, was an intern with the Alltech corporation in Nicholasville.
Four of the students completed their work within Boyle County. Emily Cash, a senior from Princeton, interned at the Kentucky Idea Farm in Danville with Ron Jackson. Josh Harris, a junior from Ashland, was an apprentice with artist Tom Chapin in Boyle County. Rob Guckenberger, a senior from Lexington, completed his internship in Information Technology Services at Centre with Art Moore. Jason Matzek, a senior from Louisville, interned with Glassbrook studio in Danville with Brook White.
The internship program is coordinated by Centre's Career Services Office.
