Mills and Lee honored for volunteer work DANVILLE, KY- Jennie Lee and Daron Mills, both from Louisville, were jointly honored as the Centre College May Volunteers of the Month in honor of their work during Greek Week. Lee, a member of Tri Delta sorority, helped organize a dance for children from the Woodlawn Children's Campus, a shelter home. Thirty children from all age groups enjoyed dancing, games and food. This was the first time for this event, which was held at the college's Combs Student Center. Lee is the daughter of John and Evelyn Lee of Louisville and a graduate of Franklin County High School. Mills organized the "pantry sweep" for the second year, gathering cans of food for the local Salvation Army. Mills organized approximately 150 volunteers to cover the Danville and Boyle county area to gather 1,200 cans of food to help local families. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Mills is the son of Peggy Ann Mills of Louisville and is a graduate of St. Xavier High School Greek Week was held the first week in May, with all Centre sororities and fraternities celebrating Greek life. Some of the events included Centre Spring Sing, Greek olympics, Carnival, and volunteer work. As Centre Volunteers of the Month, Lee and Mills receives a framed certificate and were treated to lunch by a group of Centre employees. The college launched the volunteer award program to show appreciation
