Art by Centre professor included in current exhibitions RELEASED: Nov. 6, 2000 DANVILLE, KY - Art by Judith Pointer, a Centre College visiting professor, currently is included in two regional exhibitions. She is one of six artists featured in a current show,"Six by Six," at the Heike Pickett Gallery in Versailles. Pointer is represented by clay constructions in the exhibit, which explores how artists use specific media to express their ideas. The exhibit runs through Nov. 15, and viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. Pointer also is featured in a current exhibit at the Morlan Art Gallery at Transylvania University. Scheduled to run through Nov. 20, the exhibit is titled "In Kentucky: Senses of Place III." Viewing hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays. Pointer holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and
a master of fine arts degree from the University of Massachusetts. She
joined the Centre faculty in 1998. - end -
