DANVILLE, KY—Centre College sent the 2000-01 academic year out with a bang with news that the school received the most admission applications in Centre's history.

Centre had 1,350 applications from forty states around the country and from 27 different countries.

In the fall Centre will be welcoming yet another stellar class. The Class of 2005, comprised of 305 students, is one of the strongest the College has seen. Sixty percent were ranked in the top 10 percent of their high school class and the average ACT was 27.24.

Centre's fall term begins Sept. 3.
