Bolshoi Orchestra Coming to
Centre Colleges Norton Center

DANVILLE, KY Russia's highly esteemed Bolshoi Orchestra is coming to Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Wednesday Feb. 21. The show will begin at 8 p.m. in Newlin Hall.

One of the most popular symphony orchestras in Russia, the Bolshi was founded in 1776 and currently is the oldest body of Russian musicians. Maestro Mark Ermler is leading the orchestra in its fifth transcontinental tour of the Unites States and North America. The Bolshoi proudly boasts some 300 of the most talented musicians and composers of modern music, many enjoying solo careers at home in Russia and abroad.
The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center, which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
