Centre's academic team wins regional championship RELEASED: Feb. 21, 2001 DANVILLE, KY - Centre's academic team won the regional College Bowl competition at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. They are now one of the top sixteen teams in the country. They will compete in the national tournament in Los Angeles in April. They went undefeated in a fifteen team round robin competition. The team won each match with an average victory of over 200 points. According to Tom McKune, the team's advisor, it is seldom that a team goes undefeated in one of these competitions. The team members are Bryan Rich of Louisville, Ben Costley of Nicholasville, Nate Kissel of Montgomery, Ala., Henry McEuen of Carrolton, and Matt Burgess of Louisville. Centre has been involved with the College Bowl for four years.
