Centre to welcome guest pianist

DANVILLE, KY—Donald A. Zent, professor of piano at Asbury College, will perform a piano recital on Tuesday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Audrey Gillespie Recital Hall on the Centre campus. The program will include works of Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Kreisler/Rakhmaninov, and Szymanowski. The public is cordially invited to attend this free recital.

Dr. Zent has taught college music students for twenty-six years, first at Indiana Wesleyan University (formerly Marion College) and second, since 1988, at Asbury College. As professor of piano and coordinator of keyboard studies at Asbury, he teaches applied piano, group piano, piano pedagogy/literature, and form and analysis. A piano soloist and accompanist, he holds three degrees in piano performance: a bachelor's in music and a master's in music, both from Indiana University, and a doctorate of musical arts from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.
