Centre professor co-authors economics book

DANVILLE, KY — David Anderson, Centre College professor of economics, has co-authored a book on economics education. Favorite Ways to Learn Economics was written with James Chasey and will be released on August 3.

As a lab manual for the classroom and for individual study, the book is divided into experiments and problem sets to help reinforce key principles in microeconomics and macroeconomics with a hands-on approach to help students retain knowledge.

Dr. Anderson has expertise in the economics of law, crime, and the environment. He has also published scholarly articles on futures markets, ARCH models, marriage, social insurance, classroom technology, instructional evaluation, childbirth, and dispute resolution, among other topics.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and masters and doctoral degrees from Duke University.
