DANVILLE, KY — A new internship program at Centre College will offer matching grants for selected internships during the Centre Term or the summer.
The program, Centre Internship Plus is a way for students to earn extra financial support for high-quality internship experiences. To be eligible, students must complete a proposal that must be successfully reviewed by a committee to be accepted for funding.
After approval by the Centre committee and after the employing sponsor has agreed to match funds, Centre will provide $750 toward a Centre Term internship (three week period after fall term) and $1,500 toward a summer internship.
"I think this new program will encourage students to look at internship opportunities they may not have been able to consider in the past," says Deborah Jones, director of career services at Centre. "It will open doors to some very exciting opportunities."
