Centre students complete internships

DANVILLE, KY—Six Centre College students completed internships during the fall term.

Emily Bass, a senior international relations major from Hiseville, Ky., was a legislative intern for the Legislative Research Commission in Frankfort. Luke Coffey, a senior education major from Ashland, interned with the Centre College athletics department. Rachel Conrad, a senior math major from Falmouth, Ky., interned at the Idea Farm, an international public relations agency based in Danville.

Les Fugate, a senior economics major from Prestonsburg, Ky., interned at the Centre College Admissions. Wes Fugate, a senior drama and economics major from Prestonsburg, interned with the Kentucky Theatre Association, which held its annual festival at Centre in November. Sarah Weitze, a senior psychology major from Ft. Thomas, Ky., interned at the YMCA of Harrodsburg.

The interns completed on-the-job projects or research related to their academic program at Centre.

The internship program is coordinated by Centre's Career Services Office.

Nearly 30 Centre students are slated to take part in internships during the spring term.
