DANVILLE, KY—Jennifer Howard joined Centre College this week as the new associate director of alumni. Howard, a 2000 graduate of the College, replaces Jennifer Hummel who had worked at Centre for five years.
Howard, who is a graduate of Graves County High School, received a degree in history from Centre. She will be in charge of planning homecoming, all alumni events, planning alumni travel, and working with the alumni association board of directors.
She previously worked for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Louisville before coming to Centre.
"It's just an unbelievable opportunity to get to come back to Danville and to travel and talk with Centre alumni. When I was a student, I thought Jennifer Hummel had the coolest job in the world," Howard said.
Mary McKee, director of development and alumni affairs, said Howard's enthusiasm and knowledge of Centre are welcome.
"We are pleased to have Jennifer who brings an added level of energy and excitement to our office," she said. "She understands what Centre is about and what Centre's alumni mean to the College."
Howard is the daughter of Floyd Glenn Howard of Mayfield and Jane Bright of Murray.
