| Centre fraternity finalist for award

DANVILLE, KY Centre College fraternity, Phi Kappa Tau is a finalist for the coveted Roland Maxwell Outstanding Chapter Award. Only one other chapter of Phi Kappa Tau is up for the award, Alpha Chapter of Miami University of Ohio.
The final decision will be made after each group makes a 30-minute presentation to the awards selection committee on July 22. The winner will be announced on July 24 at the Brotherhood Banquet of the 2001 Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the campus of Miami of Ohio.
The Delta Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau is the 1999-2000 Outstanding Chapter at Centre College and has won the Yerkes outstanding scholarship award for the past five years. It has also been honored as one of the top five chapters of Phi Kappa Tau in the nation for the past two years, and has had either the highest or second highest grade-point average in the nation for the past four years.
