Based on Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, My Fair Lady is the story of Henry Higgins, the self-centered speech professor who, on a bet, attempts to turn the soot ragamuffin, Eliza Doolittle, into a well bred lady. My Fair Lady opened on Broadway in March of 1956 and ran for six and one half years. Now it is a classic with its enchanting score and will be a great performance.
The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center, which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
