| Admission Office to host first of two fall open houses at Centre

Sept. 29 and Nov. 10 events encourage prospective students to learn more about college
DANVILLE, KYCentre College will hold the first of two Fall Admission Open Houses on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
These are specially planned days for high school seniors and their families to visit the College's campus.
Activities for the open houses include a tour, a student panel, a financial aid discussion, and an opportunity to meet with Centre students, faculty and staff regarding majors, campus organizations and campus life.
The Sept. 29 open house will begin at 9 a.m. with registration and a Centre information fair in the Centre's Norton Center for the Arts foyer.
A Centre perspectives panel will take place at 10 a.m., followed by a guided campus tour and lunch. A financial aid discussion and student life panel will begin at 1 p.m.
The second open house will take place Saturday, Nov. 10.
Centre's "College Search Summer Workshop" had more than 300 guests from seven states visit campus Aug. 10 to learn more about college life.
Zack Edens, a senior at West Jessamine High School, attended the workshop and said he found it quite helpful.
"I ended up meeting up with a couple of friends of mine (at the workshop), and we all enjoyed it," he said. "It seemed like it reached everyone I associated with. The program covered the bases pretty well."
