Titanic coming to College's Norton Center

DANVILLE, KY- Titanic, an original American musical, will appear at Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. in Newlin Hall.

Tickets are on sale at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Patrons also may call 859-236-4692 or toll-free at 1-877-HIT-SHOW.

Titanic captures the scope and humanity of what went on during the ship's historic voyage in 1912. The events in the musical are chronologically correct and most of the characters are based on actual people, such as John Jacob Astor and Benjamin Guggenheim. When Titanic appeared in 1997, it won five Tony awards, including best score and best book.

The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center, which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
