RELEASED: Feb. 1, 2001 DANVILLE, KY The Centre College women's basketball team broke the school record for shooting percentage versus Trinity University in a game played in San Antonio. The Lady Colonels connected on 33 of 49 shots for a .673 percentage breaking the old mark of .645 versus Berea College in 1990. The Lady Colonels also broke the school record for free throw percentage in a game against DePauw, hitting 18 of 19 free throws (.947) breaking the previous mark of .944 set back in 1994. The sharpshooting Lady Colonels rank third in the nation in three point shooting (40.5%) and sixth overall in field goal percentage with a 46.7% mark. Individually, senior guard Molly Alvey (Louisville) ranks seventh in the nation in 3 point shooting with a 46.3% mark. Centre's overall record currently is 13-4 and the Lady Colonels are tied for second place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
