Admission Office sets April 13 as admitted student day

Campus visits also slated for high school juniors

DANVILLE, KY-The Centre College admission office will host its annual admitted student day Saturday, April 13, as students and family members will visit campus.

"Centre of Attention Day" is open to students who have been admitted to enter Centre as freshmen in the fall of 2002 and their parents.

An optional campus tour will be given that day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Welcoming comments will take place at Newlin Hall of Centre’s Norton Center for the Arts at 1 p.m.

Academic seminars (students will have the option of attending one of the six academic offerings) will be presented from 1:30-2:15 p.m. From 2:15-3:30 p.m. there will be campus life seminars. These are led by current Centre students.

A parent seminar will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The day will conclude with a reception hosted by Carey Thompson, dean of admission and student financial planning. It will be held at the Combs Student Activities Center. The event coordinator is Pam Baughman.

High school juniors are encouraged to visit campus this spring. Juniors and their families may tour the campus and attend sessions on Centre's curriculum, admission and financial aid programs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 and Saturday, May 11.
