Annie Get Your Gun presented at College’s Norton Center

DANVILLE, KY—Annie Get Your Gun, a classic musical, was presented Jan. 8 at Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts.

Annie Get Your Gun is a fictionalized story of Annie Oakley, one of the world’s most famous sharp shooters. Written by Irving Berlin and Herbert and Dorothy Fields, the 1946 musical celebrates Oakley's stormy relationship with Frank Butler as they tour the country with ''Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.'' The score features classic Irving Berlin songs such as ''There’s No Business Like Show Business,'' ''Anything You Can Do,'' and ''The Sun In the Morning and the Moon at Night.''

The College's Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center, which annually brings to Centre a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
