Explore the future on Career Services Web page

RELEASED: Nov. 27, 2002

DANVILLE, KY—Searching for the perfect career, the right job, the internship you've always dreamed of? Trying to select a graduate school? Then now is the time to visit Centre College's Career Services Web page at www.centre.edu/careers.

The revamped page offers an abundance of resources and information on all the above and much more.

"The Web page is more streamlined and user-friendly," said Joy Asher, assistant director of Career Services.

She adds that Career Services has added such features as a page on scholarship and fellowship information for graduate study. It also features career-related links and articles that are updated monthly.

Career Services is also offering a new program that will help students explore career options and develop a four-year plan for success. The Centre Futures program will benefit students by assigning them a career counselor as freshmen and providing access to eRecruiting, an externship program (see www.centre.edu/web/news/extern02.html), and networking with Centre alumni.

And Centre offers the "Centre Commitment," which pledges that all students who meet the college's academic and social expectations are guaranteed an internship, a chance to study abroad and graduation in four years. (For more, go to www.centre.edu/web/admission/publications/centrecommitment.html).
