College hosts meeting of Council for Postsecondary Education

DANVILLE, KY-Gov. Paul Patton emphasized his support of education reform at the Kentucky Council for Postsecondary Education annual meeting held at Centre College Monday, July 22.

Patton assured the council they had his "unwavering" support. Patton was accompanied by Crit Luallen, Secretary of Patton's Executive Cabinet. Luallen is a 1974 Centre graduate.

John Roush, president of Centre College, also addressed the council at Centre's Norton Center for the Arts. He challenged those in attendance to build a system of higher education that will bring distinction, vitality and dreams to the state.

"Centre College is committed to being part of that effort, leading by involvement, example, and hard work as we advance in the direction of our dreams," Roush said.
