Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg coming to Norton Center

DANVILLE, KY-Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg will appear in concert at Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Monday, April 8 at 8 p.m. in Newlin Hall.

Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg was founded in 1841 by Mozart's widow and the city of Salzburg. Now it has 91 full-time musicians and plays 130 performances annually. On tour the orchestra plays with 50 members and performs Mozart, Haydn and Schubert.

Tickets are on sale at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Patrons also may call (859) 236-4692 or toll-free at (877) HIT-SHOW.

Centre's Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts facility, which annually brings to campus a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
