| Norton Center lineup promises a stellar season

DANVILLE, KYFans of Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts have come to expect the best from "Kentucky's Home to the Stars." The best is what they'll receive with this year's performing arts series at the College.
Jazz great Wynton Marsalis, the Boston Pops Orchestra and impersonator Rich Little headline the upcoming season.
But that's just the beginning as five Broadway shows, superb international classical music and dance performances and concerts by some of the world's leading orchestras and ensembles come to the Norton Center.
Action gets underway at the Norton Center on Sept. 28 with "An American Celebration" that features America's "Singing Policeman," Daniel Rodriguez; the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and pop artist Sylver Logan Sharp; saxophone superstar and musical director Tom Scott; and ace trumpeter Vince DiMartino.
"The lineup for this year's season is with some of the most outstanding artists in the world," said George Foreman, the managing director of the Norton Center for the Arts and associate professor of humanities. "We're thrilled to present this year's exciting series."
