Michala Petri and Manuel Barrueco
coming to Centre’s Norton Center

DANVILLE, KY-Michala Petri, world-renowned recorder player, and Manuel Barrueco, an acclaimed classical guitarist, will appear in concert together at Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. in Weisiger Theatre.

Petri is one of the finest recorder players performing today. She was born in Copenhagen and studied at the Hochschule fur Musik and Theatre in Germany. Her professional debut was in 1969 at the Tivoli Concert Hall.

Barrueco is a classical guitarist who is noted for his seductive sound and elegant form. Last year he performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City, Madrid, Munich, and Japan. Both artists return to the Norton Center for an exciting joint recital.
