College's Norton Center hosts "An American Celebration"

DANVILLE, KY"An American Celebration" featuring Daniel Rodriguez, New York City's "Singing Policeman," will be presented Saturday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. in Newlin Hall of Centre's Norton Center for the Arts.
Tickets are on sale at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Patrons also may call (859) 236-4692 or toll-free at 1-877-HIT-SHOW.
Rodriguez, who has captured the heart of the nation through his uplifting performances at events such as the World Series, Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics, will be joined by singer Sylver Logan Sharp, the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra with conductor Nick Palmer, saxophonist Tom Scott and trumpeter and Centre faculty member Vince DiMartino.
The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center, which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
