College Search Summer Workshop to be held July 12

DANVILLE, KY-Centre College's "College Search Summer Workshop" will be held on campus Friday, July 12.

The program is designed to provide helpful information about the college search process and college life to high school students and their families. Last year more than 300 people representing seven states attended the workshop.

This year's workshop will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Representatives from Centre, Davidson College, Furman University, the University of Kentucky, Summit Country Day School of Cincinnati and the Lovett School of Atlanta will be on hand to lead discussions and answer questions.

There will be several discussion topics, including "How to Begin an Effective College Search," "Planning a College Visit," "Preparing an Impressive Application" and "Scholarships and Financial Aid."

Students and their families will be given the opportunity to explore Centre's campus.

The workshop will conclude with a question-and-answer panel discussion composed of current college students, parents, admission representatives and college counselors.
