What are you reading? The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
As Centre's goalie, do you ever get bored standing in the goal by your lonesome? "Sometimes, but not really. Besides, how can I get lonely when there are 21 other people on the field with me at all times? Not to mention, I tend to be very mentally and emotionally connected to what's going on even when the action isn't in our team's defensive half of the field."
What others say about Jessica: "Jessica's a dream to coach," said Gina Nicoletti, women's soccer coach at Centre. "She's a hard worker both on the field and in the classroom. Jessica has a great personality, and leads by example. I'm impressed by her ability to balance varsity soccer, varsity softball, jazz band and academics. Jessica is a class act."
Future plans: "As for the immediate future, I have no definite plans. I'm going to take a year away from school to relax, write music, produce a CD, write a book, and hang out with my family. After that, it's back in the academic seat and on to graduate school to get my master's degree."
Quotable: "Centre has been by far the most challenging experience of my life. I've seen great triumphs, saddening failures, unbelievable victories and stinging defeat. However, regardless the card dealt, there have always been wonderful friends, supportive coaches and a loving family supporting and cheering me the whole way. The most important thing I've learned here is that when you hit an obstacle face-first, don't dwell on it. Instead, get up, dust yourself off and find a way around it. You just have to find the strength within yourself to do it. Never let anything or anyone stand in the way of your goals."
