Centre fundraising explored in Chronicle of Philanthropy

College shooting to regain No. 1 spot in annual giving

RELEASED: Dec. 11, 2003

DANVILLE, KY—Richard Trollinger, vice president for college relations at Centre College, was featured in the Dec. 11 edition of The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Trollinger commented on the College's fundraising efforts. He had good news to share with the publication: Donors and gifts are up from a year ago at Centre.

But the College still has a way to go to reach its goal of 66 percent alumni participation in order to reclaim the crown for the top national ranking in alumni-giving percentage.

The College has been on top 16 of the past 20 years, but has fallen just short the past two years.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy is considered the top newspaper of the nonprofit world. It's a major source of news for charity leaders, fundraisers, grant-makers and others involved in philanthropic enterprise. For more, go to http://philanthropy.com/.
