| Food for Thought series begins
RELEASED: Oct. 2, 2003 DANVILLE, KYThe Food for Thought series sponsored by the alumni office begins Oct. 7 in the Nichols dining room in Cowan Dining Commons. This year's Food for Thought series consists of three discussions led by Centre faculty and staff during lunch (noon-1 p.m.). Tuesday, Oct. 7, Nayef Samhat, NEH associate professor of government and international relations, will speak on "Looking for Arab Democracy in all the Wrong Places," assessing the implications for American policy in Iraq and Palestine. Tuesday, Nov. 4, Centre President John Roush and Ken Keffer, professor of modern languages, will discuss "America Patriotism," in view of the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Tuesday, Dec. 2, David Anderson, Paul G. Blazer associate professor of economics, will speak on "Economics and the Environment," discussing intersections among ethics, economics, and the environment. Sessions are $10 each or $25 for the entire series.
