DANVILLE, KY—Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) had good things to say about Centre College and Danville, Ky., in a recently published book.

An Amazing Adventure: Joe and Hadassah's Personal Notes on the 2000 Campaign is their memoir on the 2000 vice presidential race. Centre hosted the only vice presidential debate on Oct. 5 that year. The debate between Lieberman and now-vice president Dick Cheney was held in Centre's Norton Center for the Arts.

The event, which CBS news anchor Dan Rather called a 'five-star debate," was, according to Lieberman in the book, his "shining moment."

He also said Danville is "a lovely little town in the beautiful Bluegrass country."
