| Miller accepts position as director of campaign giving

DANVILLEBrian Miller '81 has accepted the position of director of campaign giving at Centre College. Miller returns to his alma mater from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., where he served as executive director of marketing and communications.
Miller will be working closely with the management of the College's upcoming capital campaign.
"We're very excited about having Brian Miller join the team at Centre College," Richard Trollinger said. "He's not only very experienced in the advancement office, but is also a graduate of Centre, which means he is already familiar with the institution and many of its constituents."
Miller comes to Centre with more than 20 years successful management experience in higher education, international industry, television, radio and newspapers.
While at Stetson, Miller was responsible for the university's marketing and communications, media relations and advertising. He also served as dean of admissions from September 2000 to August 2001. Miller worked closely with the vice president for university relations on fundraising initiatives. He served as university spokesperson, handling both crisis communications and news for six years at the 2,200-student private university. During this time, the office of marketing and communications won several awards for projects at national, regional, state and local levels.
Miller received his B.A. in English from Centre and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri. He is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in higher education administration from the University of Florida.
Brian Miller succeeds Jason Scott Embry, who has accepted a position with the University of Denver.
