Admission Office to host two open houses

RELEASED: Sept. 29, 2003

DANVILLE, KY—Prospective students wanting to learn more about Centre College will have two chances to explore the campus and hear a series of presentations this fall.

The first admission office open house will take place Saturday, Oct. 4. Another will follow Saturday, Nov. 15.

The open houses are specifically planned days for high school seniors and their families to visit Centre's campus. Open house activities include tours, student panels, financial aid discussions and opportunities to meet with Centre students, faculty and staff.

"This allows high school seniors to become more familiar with Centre and see all the educational possibilities that exist here for them," said J. Carey Thompson, dean of admission and student financial planning. "I think these events are fun and worthwhile for all involved."

For more information on the open houses or about Centre, call the Admission Office at (800) 423-6236 or e-mail admission@centre.edu. You can also visit http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/.

Founded in 1819, Centre is ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the country's top-50 national liberal arts colleges. It's the most affordable of that group and is Kentucky's highest rated institution.
