Top-50 U.S. News rankings makes Centre
Kentucky's highest rated national institution

DANVILLE, KYCentre College is again rated as a top-50 national liberal arts college by U.S. News and World Report in its 2003-04 rankings.
Centre's position at No. 45 gives it the highest national ranking of any Kentucky college or university.
Williams College is the top national liberal arts college. Centre is tied for 45th with Gettysburg College (Pa.) and Rhodes College (Tenn.).
Long known for its extensive international study opportunities, Centre tied at No. 10 in "most students studying abroad," with Bates College (Maine) and Colgate University (N.Y.). In addition to semester-long programs in England, France, and Mexico, Centre offers exchange programs in Japan and Northern Ireland, as well as a wide variety of short-term programs to such places as Italy, Vietnam, Morocco, and Istanbul. About three-fourths of Centre students study abroad.
Centre ranks at No. 16 for best value among liberal arts colleges.

"These rankings are just one of a number of measures that validate the ongoing success of our mission: providing extraordinary education for some of the nation’s most outstanding young people."

"It's always good to have our high national reputation recognized by U.S. News, confirming that Centre's educational program ranks with the best in the country," he said. "Centre's excellent retention statistics, selectivity, loyal alumni support and the respect we are accorded by our academic colleagues, all justify this first-tier ranking."
