DANVILLE, KY—The Centre College music program will sponsor a free evening of big band jazz and choral music featuring the CentreJazz Band, the Centre
Women's Voices, and the Centre Men's Voices on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Weisiger Theatre.
The popular 18-member jazz big band will perform a variety of jazz standards. Freshman Mary Morgan of Douglas, Wyo., a jazz vocalist, will be a featured soloist.
The Centre Women's Voices will perform portions of Vaughan Williams' Magnificat and Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols. Returning alumna Korin Kormick, Centre class of 2000, will be a featured soloist.
The Centre Men's voices will perform sea chanteys, Christmas spirituals and other selections.
