| Centre among nation's top 15 colleges and universities in alumni support per student
RELEASED: Dec. 23, 2004
Centre's ongoing national preeminence in alumni giving percentage is well documented, but the college also ranks high for alumni support per student. The Council for Aid to Education (CAE) ranked Centre 13th in this category. Its peers at the top of the list include Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Swarthmore and Stanford. This doesn't come as a surprise after Centre's record-breaking year, in which the college regained the No. 1 spot in alumni annual giving percentage. Centre has held this position for 16 of the past 21 years. In addition, the college has cracked the 60-percent mark in annual alumni giving for 23 consecutive years, the only school in the country that can make that claim. Centre's value and affordability has been noted by virtually every authority on the topic, including U.S.News and World Report, Consumers Digest, Fiske Annual Guide to Colleges and Princeton Review. It's not too late for alumni and other friends to help Centre continue to be one of the most affordable colleges in the country. December 31 marks the final opportunity to gain 2004 tax credit. It is also the end of the first half of the annual giving year (July 1, 2004 June 30, 2005). To make a gift to the College, please visit http://gifts.centre.edu/.
