Flack is famous for her soulful renditions of songs such as "Let's Stay Together," "Prelude to a Kiss," "Isn't It Romantic," "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," and "My Romance."
Her signature song is her 1973 smash hit "Killing Me Softly with His Song." Fans say her true genius lies in her ability to get inside a song and reach her listeners, heart-to-heart and soul-to-soul. With a jazz-inspired flare, Flack caresses old standards, pays homage to her inspirations and adds life to the classics.
Flack, who got her start with Atlantic Records after being discovered by jazz great Les McCann, celebrated 25 years with Atlantic by releasing her 14th album, ROBERTA, in 1994. Winner of three Grammy Awards, her distinctive and compelling style combines a wide spectrum of musical genres with a unique sense of emotion that sets her apart in the minds and hearts of music lovers and critics worldwide.
