| Gifts still coming in: Centre tallying results in efforts to reclaim top spot in alumni giving
RELEASED: July 1, 2004 DANVILLE, KYCentre is still tallying gifts to determine if the College has been successful in its effort to reclaim the No. 1 spot in annual alumni giving percentage. The College has already received well over 5,000 gifts this year, and staff members believe they're very close to the number that will earn both the No. 1 spot in the country and a $100,000 challenge gift from an alumnus. "Our alumni have been extremely generous this year," says Jamey Elliott '96, director of annual giving. "It's really exciting coming down this home stretch, and I'm optimistic that this final stage will put us over the top." Centre has a long tradition of outstanding alumni support. The College has led the nation in annual giving percentage for 16 of the past 20 years.
