New Ireland Journal on Web site

RELEASED: April 29, 2004

DANVILLE, KY—Senior Jennifer Paul says there are three places she wants to visit in her lifetime. After a study abroad trip to Ireland earlier this year, the Williamsburg, Ky., native has one down.

Paul was part of a group of Centre students who traveled to Ireland for more than two weeks during CentreTerm, the College’s innovative three-week January session.

During her time there she learned that Ireland was more diverse than she realized, visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, saw the play Aristocrats, admired the beauty of the Ireland countryside, dined on beef and Guinness casserole and black pudding and managed not to get run down by excited motorists.

And what are the other two places Paul wishes to visit someday? To find out you’ll have to read her on-line journal. To see her entries and photos from Ireland, go to http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/traveljournals/ireland.html.

Long known for its extensive international study opportunities, Centre is tied at No. 10 in U.S. News and World Report for “most students studying abroad.” To learn more, visit http://web.centre.edu/studyabroad/.
