Admission Office to host two open houses

Oct. 30 and Nov. 13

RELEASED: Oct. 7, 2004

DANVILLE, KY—Prospective students wanting to learn more about Centre College will have two chances to explore the campus and hear a series of presentations this fall.

The first admission office open house will take place Saturday, Oct. 30. Another will follow Saturday, Nov. 13.

The open houses are specifically planned days for high school seniors and their families to visit Centre's campus. Open house activities include tours; student panels; financial-aid discussions; and opportunities to meet with Centre students, faculty and staff.

Becky Ghent, a freshman from London, Ky., decided to attend Centre after taking part in an open house last year.

"I loved it," she says. "I learned a lot about the college and its traditions as well as the community. I met several people that day who are now friends. And I met a professor from a field [English] I intend to major in."

For more information on the open houses or about Centre, call the Admission Office at (800) 423-6236 or e-mail admission@centre.edu. You can also visit http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/visit.html.
