Seniors can complete the two-part paper application and submit by mail, or can apply online (with no fee) by visiting http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/howtoapply.html. Financial aid applications are due Feb. 15. See http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/financial/ for more information. Timely applicants will receive notification of their acceptance to the College by March 15. This year Centre expects to receive nearly 2,000 applications for a freshman class of approximately 310 students. High school juniors interested in attending the College should mark Feb. 26 and April 30 on their calendars. Centre holds Junior Day Open Houses on those dates. Prospective students and their parents can tour the campus and attend informative sessions about choosing a college, the application process, financing a Centre education, and a day in the life of a college student. "We hope that hosting two Junior Days will provide many students with a good start to their college search, says Susan Johnston, Associate Director of Admission. The sessions are not merely Centre-specific, but address broader issues of choosing and applying to colleges. Diversity Days will be held February 10-12. The College welcomes all prospective students who have identified themselves as minorities to campus for an enhanced visit. Centre also invites students who have a general interest in diversity issues to participate. For more information on Junior Day, call (800) 423-6236 or e-mail admission@centre.edu. Students can register online at http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/openhouse.html. - end - Founded in 1819, Centre College is ranked among the U.S. News top 50 national liberal arts colleges.
