This is last year's winner of the "Coolest Room" contest.
DANVILLE, KY—Like all good reality shows, the search for the "Coolest Room" on Centre's campus is back for a second season.
Last year dozens of Centre students straightened their bookshelves, stuffed dirty laundry under the bed and showed off their creativity in the contest to find the coolest room on campus. After tallying more than 700 votes last year in a tight race, two students walked away with $50 and campus bragging rights. Several others won gift certificates to local restaurants.
Starting Feb. 3, Centre students have an opportunity to show off their superior pads again—this time for bigger prizes. The Centre Communications Office is sponsoring a "Coolest Room 2".
This is the charge of the Communications Office to Centre students: "Tell us why your room is the coolest on campus, and we'll come check it out."
The contest committee will select the top five rooms on the basis of color, creativity, decorations, theme and overall look.
Pictures of the top rooms will be posted on Centre's Web site for the campus and prospective students to view and then pick their favorite.
A $100 Target gift card will be given to the occupants of the winning room. The four runners-up will receive gift certificates. To enter a room in this contest, click here to fill out the online form. Deadline for submissions is Feb. 17.
