Centre to host Diversity Days

RELEASED: Nov. 3, 2005

DANVILLE, KY—The faculty, staff and Diversity Student Union of Centre College invite prospective students and their families to explore the campus community during Diversity Days on Nov. 11-12. The College welcomes high school seniors who have indicated an interest in diversity issues, as well as students who identify themselves as minorities.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about exciting academic, co-curricular and study abroad possibilities that distinguish Centre. They will have the chance to hear from Dr. Steven Squyres, principal investigator of the Mars Rover Expedition, observe classes, participate in special science lab demonstrations and chat with professors and advisors. Students may also tour campus, meet President Roush, visit with an admission counselor, learn about scholarship and financial aid, stay in the residence halls, enjoy the DSU coffeehouse and interact with our students.

"This is the fourth fall we have welcomed to campus prospective students who have expressed an interest in diversity issues," says Ned Frazer, assistant director of admission. "It's a great opportunity for them to make connections on Centre's campus with students and facutly who will be potential partners with them in their undergraduate career here."
